An Antique Oak Glastonbury Chair @ £225-00

A very classic gothic/medieval design Victorian oak chair with a carved panel. 

In very good overall condition for its age, just with two very small nicks; one to the top back edge, one to the back of the frame. Please see the pictures. These do not detract from the overall piece, which is a very solid chair

This is a beautifully made chair, simple in design, with pegged joints and an ‘X’ frame.

For background to the history of this type of chair please look at Wikipedia which is very poignant; the original chair can still be seen in the Bishop’s Palace, in Wells.
